‘NO, NO’ – EMBATTLED HR MINISTER SIVAKUMAR DENIES MACC RAIDED HIS HOUSE – SAYS HE’S NOT A ‘SUSPECT’ IN KICKBACKS PROBE AGAINST HIS CLOSE AIDES – IS IT TIME YET TO DRAW THE CURTAINS ON THE POPULAR & HUMBLE SIVAKUMAR? – PERHAPS IT’S BETTER TO SEE WHAT SORT OF EVIDENCE MACC, NOT KNOWN FOR ITS CONSISTENCY OR POLITICAL NEUTRALITY, HAS MANAGED TO GATHER FIRST – IF THE MONEY TRAIL AGAINST HIS AIDES IS IRREFUTABLE LIKE IN NAJIB’S CASE, THEN ‘SUSPECT’ OR NOT, SIVAKUMAR SHOULD STEP DOWN OR BE REMOVED

Sivakumar denies report that MACC raided his house

PUTRAJAYA: Human Resources Minister V. Sivakumar has denied a news report that claimed his house was raided by Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission yesterday.

When asked by media to clarify on the news report, he briefly answered “No, no.”

He said this after attending the National Training Week at the Le Meridien Putrajaya.

Citing a source, the report said it was understood that the search involved tracking money allegedly obtained by Sivakumar.

According to the source, the search was carried out by the MACC to obtain evidence as soon as the minister’s statement was taken on Sunday.

When asked about his meeting with the MACC yesterday, Sivakumar said that he handed over the full investigation to them.

“Let them do the investigation, (the case) is still in the process, we will give our full cooperation, that’s all. “(I’m) not arrested, just for a statement,” he said.

He once again emphasised that his ministry will give full cooperation to help in the investigation.

Previously, MACC arrested a senior officer to the Human Resources Minister as well as another individual to assist in the investigations over allegations of corruption involving a migrant worker recruitment agency

It is learnt the individuals were arrested for their involvement in setting up a migrant worker recruitment agency, despite the conflicts of interest which exist.  NST

Sivakumar says not a suspect in MACC investigation of HR Ministry

PUTRAJAYA — Human Resources Minister V. Sivakumar today said he is not a suspect in an ongoing investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) into corruption allegations about foreign worker recruitment deals.

The Batu Gajah MP said he had gone to the national MACC headquarters here yesterday to have his statement recorded, and added that he had not been arrested.

Citing an unnamed source, Utusan Malaysia had earlier reported that Sivakumar was called by the MACC to answer questions about alleged cash kickbacks from an unnamed businessman who had been detained alongside the two ministerial aides.

On April 13, an aide to Sivakumar was arrested together with a recruitment agent by MACC allegedly over quota for recruiting foreign workers, which was the purview of the Human Resources Ministry.

A day later another suspect identified as Sivakumar’s female private secretary became the latest person to be arrested by the anti-graft agency since investigations began.

Sivakumar arrived here at the hall together with Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin to give a speech at the event.

He officially introduced National Training Week which will be held nationwide from May 22 to May 28 this year.

NTW 2023 will be operated by Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) which provides training events and activities for free for Malaysian individuals or groups, covering a wide range of topics and skills areas.

It aims to raise awareness of the importance of training and inculcating a culture of lifelong learning among all Malaysians.

The ministry expects NTW 2023 to attract over 5,000 trainers and collaborators who will deliver over 5,000 training courses, train up to 125,000 participants, record over 500,000 training hours, and create over RM250 million in training value.

Sivakumar said human capital is a crucial resource for enabling consistent and continuous economic growth for the nation.

“A skills mismatch will hinder this growth. Therefore, we must address this gap in a meaningful, tangible and impactful manner. NTW 2023 is an excellent initiative that will enable us to do this.

“To that end, I urge all parties, from large multinational organisations to SMEs, established Training Providers to individual trainers, and universities to TVET centres, to support NTW 2023,” he said.  MM

DEAR MR LIM KIT SIANG THE DAP SHOULD TELL HIM TO QUIT, WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY

Posters like this are going viral.
This cannot be a case of :

i. lets wait and see the outcome of the MACC investigations. If he is not implicated then he does not need to resign

ii. if he is not convicted of any crime it is unfair to ask him to resign

iii. a man remains innocent until proven guilty

This is a matter of morality and what type of ethics you are trying to potray.

Can you recall this fellow saying this:

Those are amoral people. Amoral is different from immoral.

Can the DAP also speak in the same tone? Or in the same tune?

I certainly hope not.

No matter how you look at it, it does not look good.

Bite the bullet now and tell the man to be gone.

That would be the right thing to do. – http://syedsoutsidethebox.blogspot.com/
