CAN ‘SNAKES’ MCA & MIC BE TRUSTED? – KA SIONG & VIGNES CAN SAY ‘NO’ TO PN NOW – BUT AS THEY SCHEMED WITH MUHYIDDIN BEFORE, WHAT’S TO STOP DUO FROM BETRAYING PAKATAN-UMNO AGAIN ONCE IT SUITS THEM?

Ka Siong says ‘no’ to Sanusi’s offer for MCA, MIC to join Perikatan’s campaign after sitting out state polls

KUALA LUMPUR — Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong has today rejected Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) offer to work together in the upcoming state elections, after MCA and MIC decided not to contest them.

In a Facebook post, the MCA president simply replied “NO” above a screenshot of an article in which caretaker Kedah menteri besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor had made the offer.

Sanusi had earlier today told reporters in Kedah that PN is ready to offer seats to MCA and MIC members if both parties leave Barisan Nasional (BN) and join his coalition instead.

He also claimed MCA and MIC’s decision not to contest the state polls was a way of silent protest against Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who is also chairman of BN.

In separate statements, MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon and his MIC counterpart RT Rajasekaran said that the parties still pledge their allegiance to BN and will focus their energy on the next general election instead.

Previously, MCA and MIC were reportedly left out in seat negotiations among parties in the national unity government, with BN lynchpin Umno being the sole representative for the coalition.
