The above Tik Tok video is said to be from last year, November 2022. The guy who is talking is a Chinese gentleman from China or Hong Kong. I dont understand the Chinese (those of you who do should understand better) but some “translation” that came with the video says:
“This tiktok video is very damaging for the country. He says he was detained from the previous day’s incoming flight. He said another Hong Kong guy also got detained. He was carrying RM10,000 in cash, and he suspected that I………n officers were eyeing his money. The two detainees were not given food or drinks. Food was quoted at RM250 ! He did say that the demand for money was made through an agent. He ended the video with @££*&#!!£@!!”

I received video No. 3 just this morning. It says this video is from this morning as well. The caption said ‘they are showing who is in charge‘. See for yourselves.
There is an accumulated cost to all this bullshit. Everything is connected – the headbone is connected to the shoulder bone, the shoulder bone is connected to the backbone, to the hipbone etc. The tourism sector usually makes up 6% to 8% of the country’s GDP (pre-Covid). I can assure you none of those fellows at the airport will even know what is the meaning of GDP or that tourism contributed 6%-8% of GDP. So what? What do they care?
The value of the Ringgit is also tied to tourism. Jobs for our young people, the transport industry, restaurants, shops are all directly tied to tourist spending.
They dont seem to care too much.
