Slowly but surely, Mahathir has isolated Malaysia of its most important allies. The latest was when he insulted India by both protecting Zakir Naik and interfering when it came to Kashmir.
At 94 years old, it is clear the Malaysian leader is losing grips on reality. He has not kept any of the pledges made before the elections and has slowly morphed back into the selfish we knew from when he first sat as the prime minister in 1981.
The picture hilariously captures Mahathir’s crisscross ways. The only allies he has left are people like Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of Myanmar and Rodrigo Duterte, president of the Philippines. Both these leaders are notorious for their human rights abuse.
Aung San Suu Kyi completely ignored her military’s serious abuse against the minorities in the country and Rodrigo Duterte is known for his deadly “war on drugs” that is another word for massacres.
Mahathir is in good company, he himself is known for his track record of human right abuses and horrible treatment of minorities.
What are we doing with this kind of prime minister?
