PRIME Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today said he did not wish to get involved in PKR’s affairs, saying there were other matters that needed his attention.
“I don’t have to think about this. I have lots of other things to think about,” he said when asked if PKR was a liability to Pakatan Harapan.
Earlier, 28 central committee members and lawmakers hit out at PKR president Anwar Ibrahim for not standing by his deputy Mohamed Azmin Ali, who is embroiled in a sex video scandal.
The senior party leaders – all aligned to Azmin – signed a statement telling Anwar he should condemn the gutter politics employed to take down political leaders instead of suggesting that Azmin resign if the veracity of the sex video is established.
“We are of the view that his statement is inappropriate and based on speculative assertions,” they said in the statement.
