SABAH MINISTER BRAWLS WITH COP DURING DRINKING SESSION? IT’S A LIE, SAY AIDE – HOW CAN IT BE WHEN HE WAS FAR AWAY IN SANDAKAN

KOTA KINABALU: Police have confirmed that they have not received any report about a minister attacking a policeman.

A message had spread on social media alleging Sabah Infrastructure Development minister Datuk Peter Anthony was involved in a brawl with a policeman during a drinking session in Lintas near here.

Jatil Junggok, the minister’s political secretary, lodged a report at the Penampang police station on Wednesday (May 15) over the allegations.

He said that the incident could not have occurred as Anthony was in Sandakan helping out with the by-election campaign when the alleged brawl took place.

Jatil urged the police to take action against owner of the “Selvaraja Somiah” Facebook account, where the post appeared, for slandering and tarnishing the minister’s image.

“They will be carrying out investigations,” he said.
