WITH EVIL FORCES IN PKR’S AZMIN CAMP BEATEN BACK, THE PATH TO VICTORY FOR HARAPAN IS CLEARER: BUT DR M MUST ENSURE HE IS NOT SABOTAGED FROM WITHIN IN HIS OWN CHOICE OF SEATS TO CONTEST

SHAH ALAM – Pakatan Harapan unanimously decided Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be the coalition’s candidate for the Prime Minister’s post if the pact makes it to Putrajaya.

Wan Azizah is the candidate for the deputy prime minister’s post.

Pakatan also agreed to limit the tenure of the prime minister to two terms.

agreed to allocating

  • 52 seats to Pribumi
  • 51 seats to PKR
  • 35 seats to DAP and
  • 27 seats to Amanah.

(Total is 165 seats in Semenanjung. Sarawak has 31 Parliamentary seats while Sabah has 26).

My comments : I am glad that PKR came to the same consensus. The way is now clearer.

The next question is where shall Tun Dr Mahathir stand for a Parliamentary seat? Talk is Tun will be contesting in Langkawi.

Some suggest that Tun Dr Mahathir should stand in Merbok in Kedah. This is Tun Daim Zainuddin’s old seat. But Tun Dr Mahathir has never shied away from challenges, no matter how great they are.
