PUTRAJAYA – MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai today hinted that some people within Barisan Nasional were colluding with outsiders to bring down MCA.
However, he said MCA would remain firm in defending the country’s diversity and safeguarding the rights of Chinese Malaysians.
“Our stand to fight for the rights of the Chinese community will never change.
“We’ve gone through the proper channel to tackle the issue of Robert Kuok’s humiliation by voicing up in the cabinet meeting.
“To us, this is an irrefutable obligation.”

He said the Robert Kuok incident proved that MCA would stand up to defend the Chinese community’s rights and dignity when it is in trouble, adding that DAP, despite clinching the overwhelming support of Chinese Malaysians, would act dumb or exploit the situation to attack MCA.
“It’s not hard to get the answer from the angle of Chinese community’s interest. Despite voters’ support, DAP will never go through the thick and thin with the Chinese community like we do.
“We are very different from them. We are a responsible party. We are committed to our belief.
“But for them, the ultimate motive is to wipe out MCA.”
