UMNO BRANCH YOUTH CHIEF STABBED TO DEATH AT HIS MOM’S HOUSE

SEREMBAN – Kuala Sawah Umno branch youth chief died today after he was allegedly stabbed by an attacker following an argument in Taman Bunga Sejati here.

In the incident at about 8am today, Norhaidi Mat Yusop, 40, was pronounced dead at Tuanku Jaafar Hospital here.

He was believed to have been stabbed following the argument with a relative at his mother’s house.

A neighbour G Yuvarajah, 21, said he first saw a man chasing the victim with a hoe and stopping about 50m from his house.

“After following their fight, I suddenly saw the victim lying on the road with blood stains believed to be from stab wounds on his back,” he said.

Yuvarajah said he and other neighbours later captured and tied the attacker before they handed him to the police.

He said the incident started when he heard a commotion coming from his neighbour’s house when he was sleeping at about 8am.

Meanwhile, the victim’s family members, friends and Umno members were seen gathering at the hospital mortuary

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, who was seen at the mortuary at about 1pm, expressed his condolences to Norhaidi’s family on incident.
