‘THE PEOPLE ARE DISAPPOINTED WITH MACC’: IN SHOCK, PAS NO.2 TUAN IBRAHIM DISTANCES FROM BOSS HADI’S ‘BROMANCE’ WITH NAJIB AFTER BAHRI’S EXPOSE

PETALING JAYA – PAS deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the arrest of rural and regional development ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohd Arif Ab Rahman and his two sons by the MACC for alleged corruption would not lessen the disappointment over its failure to bring the SRC case to court.

Tuan Ibrahim said the arrest also would not cover up what former MACC Special Operations Division director Datuk Bahri Mohamad Zain described as Malaysia’s “spider web law”.

He pointed out in a statement today that while the MACC could easily detain the ministry secretary-general, it was powerless in bringing the SRC case to court, and this proved why Bahri had been so frustrated.

Tuan Ibrahim said the actions of MACC had aroused a series of questions among the public as to who prevented the SRC case to be brought to court, who had approved the detention of Mohd Arif and whether the MACC has been fully independent in performing its duties.
