KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz is looking forward to debating former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
The Umno supreme council member told reporters that he had even allocated and arranged a time and place for the debate.
“It will be held on March 25 at MRSM Kuala Kangsar at 3pm. We are having it on that day because he has an event nearby on the same date, so it will be convenient,” he said.
The Tourism Minister said all he wanted was a healthy debate.
“I will accord him full respect, I just want to debate him because he challenged me to a debate, maybe because I am his biggest critic,” said Nazri.
Asked on what would happen if Dr Mahathir did not turn up, Nazri said “I don’t care”.
On Friday, Tun Mahathir had challenged Nazri to debate about issues such as the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and the Bumiputra Malaysia Finance (BMF) scandals.
Nazri had initially asked Dr Mahathir to challenge him for the Padang Renggas constituency in the next general election.
