North Korea has been rigorously testing its nuclear arsenal ahead of potential conflict with The Donald and their neighbours in the South.A chilling UN report also suggested that Kim also has an H-bomb weapon of mass destruction at his disposal.
And it is believed they are preparing a test launch of its deadliest missile, the dreaded ICBM.
DEVASTATING: The ICBM will be able to reach the US when testing is complete
Once the ICBM is ready and fully operational, it could devastate US heartland.Ruthless dictator Kim Jong-un used his New Year address to tell citizens that the missile would be ready for launch soon, and that they could fire it “anywhere, at any time”.
Former White House coordinator for arms control and weapons of mass destruction, Gary Samore, warned that North Korea would not stop testing until their ICBM is fully ready.
He said: “It’s difficult to calculate or predict when North Korea might achieve that capability, a reliable nuclear-armed ICBM, but certainly with the pace of testing they’ve been carrying out something in the next five to 10 years seems like a reasonable guess.”Unfortunately, our ability to prevent North Korea from achieving that capability with military or diplomatic tools is very limited.
North Korea’s chilling broadcast believed to be orders to spies
“Although we might be able to delay the programme. In the end, I think deterrence and missile defence is probably going to be our most effective response.”
If Gary is correct, Kim Jong-un’s ICBM will be a key priority for The Donald.
The billionaire business mogul has been advised on numerous ways to tackle Kim, including assassination and air strikes on his nuke factories.
Kim aimed four ballistic missiles at a US base in Japan earlier this week, and fired another mid-range missile last month.
