RAPE SHOCK: SEA GAMES AQUATICS COACH ARRESTED FOR RAPING NATIONAL TRAINEE

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have detained a national aquatics coach over the alleged rape of a national trainee.

It is learnt that police detained the suspect, in his 30s, in Bukit Jalil here on Monday.

It is believed that the victim’s parents had lodged a police report on Sunday.

The suspect has been in the national team since 2012, and the victim did not participate in the recent SEA Games here.

City police chief Comm Datuk Amar Singh confirmed the case but declined to elaborate as police are still investigating.
