PAS MPs THUMB THEIR NOSE AT HADI, SHOW DISDAIN FOR NAJIB: 11 LAWMAKERS ABSTAINED FROM APPROVING NAJIB’S BUDGET, 1 OPPOSED WHILE HADI DIDN’T SHOW HIS FACE

The Budget 2018 was passed for second reading via a bloc voting with the support of 107 out of 222 lawmakers at the Dewan Rakyat today.

A total of 59 MPs opposed the Supply Bill 2018, while 11 abstained from voting.

This followed a bloc voting called by Mahfuz Omar (PAS-Pokok Sena) before the voting for second reading this evening.

The House later passed the second reading and it will now be referred to the committee stage.

When contacted, Mahfuz said the 11 lawmakers who abstained from voting were PAS lawmakers.

“A total of 12 PAS lawmakers were in the House (during the second reading). I opposed the supply bill, the others abstained from voting,” he said.

According to Mahfuz, Abdul Hadi Awang (PAS-Marang) and Wan Hassan Mohd Ramli (PAS-Dungun) were absent.

The Budget 2018 totalling RM280.25 billion, which was tabled on Oct 27 by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, had gone through six days of debate and three days of winding up from each ministry.
