KUALA LUMPUR – Talk of four Selangor PKR assemblymen crossing over to Barisan Nasional is a ruse started by the Opposition, said Urban Wellbing, Housing and Local Government Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar.
Such talk was only meant to divert attention from the problems faced by PAS and PKR in Selangor, he said.
“The Opposition here has a new tactic nowadays.
“If they can’t solve the problem they are facing, they will create a new problem to divert attention,” Noh told reporters after launching the Selangor Youth Day celebration Sunday.
“The Opposition is singing the same song but with a different tune now,” he added.
Talk of the crossover surfaced earlier this week, coinciding with PAS’ passing of a resolution at its 63rd Muktamar on May 1 to end ‘tahaluf siyasi’ or political cooperation with PKR.
The talk centred around the collapse of the Selangor state government and formation of a 30-seat coalition in the state legislative assembly comprising four PKR assemblymen, 13 from PAS, 11 from Umno plus two independents against the 29 seats held by the Opposition (comprising PKR, DAP and Amanah).
