IPOH – Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir is prepared for any possibility for the forthcoming general election, including contesting for a parliamentary seat.

“I’m prepared for any possibility.

“Right now, I want to work for the people and concentrate on my duties,” he said on the “Selamat Pagi Perak” television porgramme at the state RTM auditorium on Monday.

He said that when the time comes, he would move to a parliament seat if asked to do so.

Dr Zambry first stood for and won the Pangkor state seat in the 2004 general election. He was returned as incumbent in 2008 and 2013.

He was appointed Mentri Besar in 2009 when Barisan took over the state after three Pakatan Rakyat assemblymen defected 11 months after the 2008 general election.

“In politics, we have to see who we are and where we are. There will be lots of debates.

“I’m up for anything. If you want me to remain the state and continue being the Mentri Besar, I’m prepared for it too,” he added.
