PETALING JAYA – A Malaysian associate professor in anesthesiology at Chinese University was yesterday charged at the Sha Tin Magistrate’s Court in Hong Kong with murdering his wife and daughter two years ago.
Khaw Kim-Sun, 52, was accused of killing his 47-year-old wife, Wong Siew-Fing, and 16-year-old daughter, Khaw Lai-Ling. They were found unconscious in their locked compact car on Sai Sha Road on May 22, 2015.
The victims died later in hospital. “Postmortem revealed that they died of inhaling carbon monoxide,” police said in a statement issued on Monday.
Khaw was arrested by officers of the District Crime Squad of Sha Tin District who raided his home in Tai Tung Tsuen in Ma On Shan in the morning. He was charged with two counts of murder in the afternoon.
