BALIK PULAU – Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today admitted that more party members were jumping ship especially in Perak, because some are unhappy with the decisions by the top.
However he is still waiting for the actual number of those who have left.
“I already know who is instigating members to leave en masse following the appointment of the Perak chief,” he said after breaking fast here.
A news report last month said that more than 1,000 members in Perak headed by Ipoh Timor division pro-tem chief Azrul Suhadi Ahmad Mokhtar and Teluk Intan division pro-tem chief Jemaat Yaacob declared they were leaving the party with immediate effect following Muhyiddin’s failure to resolve an internal conflict despite being given a week to do so.
Muhyiddin said the decisions to appoint party chiefs in the states were made after discussions with party leaders.
