GEORGE TOWN: Bukit Bendera MP Zairil Khir Johari has evaded questions from reporters asking about two viral video clips that showed a man resembling him dancing with a woman in a club.
Asked by the reporters if he had lodged a police report over the clips, Zairil asked: “Which video?”
Zairil, who was at the Court Complex to hear his application for leave against the Election Commission, then slipped through the crowd of reporters and left.
Zairil also did not say anything despite more questions from reporters. Earlier, surrounded by reporters, Zairil, who is married, said: “Hey, don’t push.”
The woman was said to resemble Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud, the DAP candidate for the Teluk Intan by-election. At that time, Zairil and other DAP leaders had said that the issue was gutter politics.
Last week, two video clips emerged of a man being embraced by a woman with long hair in what appeared to be a club.
The first clip had the man, who resembled Zairil, dancing and being embraced by the woman while the second had them hugging.
In both the clips, the man and woman were wearing the same clothes. It is unclear when or where the footage was taken.
