GETTING READY TO ABSORB FRESH EXODUS OUT OF UMNO? KAMARULZAMAN QUITS BERSATU, TO REVIVE MOVEMENT FOR DISGRUNTLED UMNO CHIEFTAINS

KUALA LUMPUR: Kamarulzaman Habibur Rahman, a founding member of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, has announced his pullout from the newly formed Opposition party.

Kamarulzaman, who was Gabungan Ketua Cawangan Malaysia (GKCM) chairman, said that he had lost confidence in Pribumi’s leadership, which was merely jostling for power and position.

GKCM was made up of rebel Umno branch chiefs.

Kamarulzaman also rejected Pribumi’s offer to be Teluk Kemang division chief and party secretary.

He said he would revive GKCM which was disbanded after Pribumi was formed.
