SELANGOR Menteri Besar Azmin Ali should apply pressure on PAS by reshuffling the Selangor exco, said Dapsy Selangor.
“Azmin should reshuffle the Selangor Exco by swapping the more important portfolios held by PAS, such as Housing, Building Management and Urban Living (Iskandar Samad) for portfolios like Education, Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation,” said Dapsy Selangor secretary Mohammad Firdaus Babh.
“This can be a form of pressure on PAS,” said Firdaus in a statement today.
Firdaus said the Selangor MB ought to pressure PAS in response to the party’s decision to contest 42 seats in Selangor in the next elections.
State commissioner Sallehen Mukhyi on August 24 said the party also wished to take back the Gombak parliamentary seat held by Azmin.
“It is ‘wajib’ (mandatory) to take back the Gombak parliamentary seat. It is a traditional PAS seat,” he said.
“PAS’ actions show that it is two-faced and is bent on helping Umno retake Selangor.
“PAS should do the honourable thing and quit all its positions in the Selangor administration. After that, PAS is free to criticise and contest against Pakatan Harapan instead of sniping from within,” said Firdaus.
