SEREMBAN – Two friends travelling to work in Kuala Pilah were killed in a two-vehicle collision near the Bukit Putus stretch along Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah.
Shahrulnizam Abu Hassan and Zahari Mashor, both 33, were travelling in a Perodua Kelisa and were killed on the spot in the 8am accident.
The impact of the crash caused their car to split in two.
Shahrulnizam was an employee of a bank while Zahari was a government servant.
Senawang Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Zainurin Sharif said the four people in the other car, a Perodua Myvi, sustained serious injuries.
Two of the four were Nurul Syafina Abdul Mulop, 23, and Nursyahira Adila Saiful Zaman, 20.
The identities of the other two occupants of the car – a male and another female – have yet to be established.
Seremban OCPD ACP Thiew Hock Poh said preliminary investigations showed that the driver of the Kelisa lost control of the vehicle causing it to swerve into the opposite lane before crashing into the Myvi.
In a separate accident, a policeman was killed when his car collided with a van along Jalan Dato Sheikh Ahmad here.
L/Kpl Clarence Pius, 25 is believed to have been heading home to Taman Satria in Senawang when the accident happened at 4.35am.
