PETALING JAYA – An incessant beeping sound led a 27-year-old nurse to find an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on her car in Kapar, Klang, near here.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said the nurse was driving back home from work at about 10pm Saturday when she heard the beeping.
SAC Fadzil said that the nurse told police that she then drove to her uncle’s house at Taman Damai, Kapar, to check the source of the beeping.
He added that the uncle noticed a suspicious object, believed to be a bomb, attached to the bumper of the car.
SAC Fadzil said they contacted the police and a bomb disposal unit was deployed to the scene.
