BODY OF BANGLADESHI WORKER FOUND CHOPPED INTO PIECES IN SUNGAI PETANI

ALOR SETAR: A 38-year-old Bangladeshi construction worker was found brutally murdered with his body chopped into several parts at a rented house in Kampung Lebai Man,  Sungai Petani.

Kedah police chief Commissioner Datuk Asri Yusoff said the body of Azad Late Mofyan Uddin was put in three plastic sacks and hidden in a kitchen cabinet in the single-storey house.

“The body was found by police at the house after the victim’s girlfriend lodged a police report at about 1am on Tuesday” he said.

Police are looking for two of the deceased’s housemates — Bangladeshi nationals Md Julfikar, 37, a helper at a frozen food shop and Nur, 50, a factory worker.

“We are requesting for the public’s help in locating the duo whom we believe could shed some light on the murder investigation,” he told a press conference here.
