HONG KONG – There’s good news for fans of Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau.
The 55-year-old’s recovery from a horse-riding accident earlier this year appears to be going so well, he has decided to begin touring again next year, starting with concerts in China.
Lau made the announcement on his official website on June 1.
No other details were available at time of writing.
Lau’s company also shared that the next year will be a “very important period” for the multi-hyphenate.
He was recently spotted walking without assistance at the funeral of his “benefactor”, Hong Kong film producer, Chan Pui Wah.
Lau fractured his pelvis in multiple places after he was reportedly thrown off a horse while filming a commercial in Thailand on January 17.
After spending close to two months recuperating in a hospital in Hong Kong, he was officially discharged on March 10.
Lau had planned to hold a series of year-end concerts, but was forced to cancel on doctor’s orders to focus on his recovery.
Lau has enjoyed a nearly 30-year career as an award-winning singer, actor and producer, and is widely known as one of the “Four Heavenly Kings” of Cantopop.
He has starred in over 140 movies, according to his production company website.
