ALL NAJIB & HADI WANT IS TO PUSH ‘HUDUD’ BILL TO 2ND READING SO THEY CAN LIE TO MALAY VOTERS THEY CHAMPIONED ISLAM – ZAID WARNS OPPOSITION MPs TO STAY VIGILANT

The Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang can table his Act 355 Private Member’s Bill on 6 April. Assuming that leave has been given to Hadi to present this Bill, my question is whether the proposed Bill has been gazetted and published in one newspaper, as is required by the Standing Orders?

I cannot fully recall all the relevant Standing Orders regarding the Private Member’s Bills but I urge all Members of Parliament to oppose any attempt by those in power to ride roughshod over parliamentary standards and procedures. All they want to do is allow this Bill to get to the second reading so they can tell Muslim voters that both UMNO and PAS are champions of Islam.
