ADAM ROSLY QUITS PKR YOUTH POST PENDING GRAFT, HITS OUT AT ‘MALICIOUS’ RAFIZI FOR USING CASE TO PROMOTE HIMSELF

At the outset, I state unequivocally that the charges against me are entirely baseless and without substance. I have stated in court that I am innocent, when the charges were read out to me, and I intend to fight these charges to the very end.

Pending the final outcome of the court proceedings, it is appropriate that I take a leave of absence from my position as Ketua AMK Ampang in Parti Keadilan Rakyat. I have thus sent a letter to the President and division chief informing them of my stand on this.

Meanwhile, I will continue to help and contribute in the fight against the unjust and oppressive administration of our country by the BN, in every way that I can.

I remain committed to the noble struggle of Keadilan for a better Malaysia; I will return to active duties in Keadilan upon acquittal of the charges against me.

I wish to add one more thing. I am very disappointed by remarks made by Rafizi Ramli in a press conference suggesting that I am guilty of the charges against me. He showed no respect for the principle that a person is innocent till proven guilty; and his comments were totally inappropriate since the case against me is still pending in court. His rant against me is malicious and motivated by an improper agenda.

I take this opportunity to thank party colleagues, friends and the public for the expressions of support and sympathy that I have received during the recent events.
