DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang has cancelled his scheduled events this weekend after suffering an injury on his forehead last night.
The 77-year-old Gelang Patah MP sustained the injury after slipping in the toilet at his home in Gelang Patah.
“The injury was treated immediately at a nearby clinic. The doctor advised him to rest,” a DAP statement said.
It also said the scheduled events included a coffee shop forum in the constituency this morning and another session in Pekan Nenas tomorrow morning.
“He will also miss the 4th anniversary commemoration event for the MH370 tragedy on Saturday afternoon in Kuala Lumpur.
“A new date will be fixed for his scheduled visits to Sg Pelek and Sepang this Sunday.
“He is also unable to attend the PKR fundraising dinners in Setia Alam on Sunday night,” it said.
Lim underwent a laparoscopic partial nephrectomy on December 19 last year, to remove a small, cancerous tumour in the left kidney.
He returned on January 28 after a month’s rest.
