The Honda Civic and Accord have sold well but now the 2017 Honda CR-V has been stealing all the love from the former two.
The Honda Civic took the title of the best-selling sedan within the US during 2016 and it was also among the top choice for 2015. The vehicle offers a superb design and it has fuel economy that is impressive and it can accelerate fast, but it still seems that the Honda CR-V is the company favourite.
Honda has been putting all their focus on the Honda CR-V and in the recent Super Bowl the SUV was the only vehicle promoted by Honda. This has surprised some people as the crossover hasn’t been a best-seller and it isn’t the flagship vehicle.
The Honda CR-V has of course just recently designed and now it is bigger and better than the predecessor that leads the class and this year is the 20th anniversary of the SUV. This may be one of the biggest reasons why Honda chose to run the ad during this year’s Super Bowl.
In 2016 Honda sold 97, 718 vehicles and light trucks, with an increase of 7.7% and the leader of the January sales was the 2017 Honda CR-V and the subcompact HR-V.
While the Honda CR-V has been enjoying added attention, it is the Honda Civic that has been the best-seller in the US during 2016 and it is contending the title this year too. The Accord is the flagship but this year Honda may boost their efforts among the SUV market as they have conquered the other two markets already.
